There are many methods to see the probable impact of every new year …like Tajika, Varshphal…Tithi Parvesh…Progression chart and also through Sudarshan Chakra Dasa… that is 1 year = 1 house.
The numbers here indicate the age and the focus is just one year prediction from your birthday based on your age.

Sudarshan dasa is actually a dasa that allows one to analyze 1 year time just like Tajika or Varshphal and Tithi Parvesh.
With Varshphal, the point of reference is the degree of transit Sun, which should be the same as the natal Sun, and make a chart of that time.
It is also termed a Solar return chart.
Similarly, the Tithi Parvesh chart is drawn for the moment of the tithi of birth and its return every year. It is based on the date when the same tithi comes again.
It is said that when a planet transits through all 12 houses and signs, then it has completed 1 cycle through the zodiac.
This starts with 1st house at age 1; the 2nd house at age 2 and likewise we can keep rotating the age and house.
There are 12 houses/signs and at the age of 12, the native will complete 1 cycle through the houses and there will be a new cycle starting from the 1st house again when we are 13 years old….
At ages 13, 25, 37, 49, 61, 73, and 85… we enter into a new cycle, with more awareness and enhanced understanding of self, life, and our circumstances.
We are crossing the same path over and over again, and get better with each new year or birthday.
There is some completion with ages 12, 24, 36, 48, 60, 72 & 84. Jupiter also has the same cycle of 1 year or 12 months.

For analysis, there are 4 pointers. First — the current or running age is to be kept in mind along with the corresponding house and its sign….
Here I am sharing some very basic but important significations of houses and signs.
Mostly, the house number and the sign will be different, unless you have Aires ascendant.
So, we have to combine both the signification for analyzing your year ….
For example, you are Leo ascendant and your age is 41.
Then your 5th house is activated after your birthday. The sign is Sagittarius.
The house indicates what to expect from that year and the sign will show how those events will turn out to be…the sign will indicate your feelings in that year….
So here in this case, the theme of the year will be around 5th house matter, like — your children, the stock market, improving your intelligence, talents, creativity, performance, having fun, status, and confidence…
Sagittarius sign will flavour those events with luck, fortune and give it a religious or spiritual touch by providing more knowledge…
If any planet is placed there then that planet will have more say in that year.
Attached here is the basic signification of all the planets to refer to.
If Rahu-Ketu are placed, then they will have karmic influence with no control on our part. All you can do is to bring balance in their significations…
Also, while checking for the year 2024, do keep in mind that, the impact of the new year starts from your birthday. Keep your birthday month in mind…
For example, if you are an April born person then your year and time will change after April 2024…
After checking the house, planet, sign and their significations, now, take that house as a reference — point, make it as ascendant, to study, for that year.
Here, all the connections with the house, sign, and house lord should be examined like placement, aspect, conjunction, or any yoga.
Also, the study of this progression chart should be done in relation to the natal chart, its position with respect to the ascendant, and your dasha time period will play an important role in determining the events in that year.
Basically, read it as a normal chart and observe your natal ascendent and its lord placement in that progressed chart.
For better understanding, I am taking here — an example of the Independence chart of Bharat — 15th August 1947 at 00.00 hours midnight in Delhi.
It was 1st house and Taurus sign on 15th Aug 1947, then in on 15th Aug 1948 it was — Gemini sign & 2nd house
On 15th Aug 1949 — Cancer sign & 3rd house… See the number of planets placed there. Bharat’s constitution was finalized in 1950 — the 3rd year after the independence…
And likewise,
We can keep on calculating till we come to the current age of 77.
Bharat completed a six, 12-year cycle through the zodiac and now in its 7th cycle…
In 2023 ‘August Bharat entered its 77th year — age. In Sudarshan dasha it falls in the 5th house and the sign is Virgo there…
Now check all its signification, the aspect, connections, and the rest reading of the chart from the 5th house and Virgo sign….
Make Virgo and 5th house as ascendent to read it as a normal chart.
The 5th house matter will be in the focus for, between 15th Aug’23 to 15th Aug’24 like — education, children matter, the stock market, improving skills, creativity, entertainment industry, proving power and status…
These are the areas, where we can see change and new developments in 2024.
The sign is Virgo in the 5th house. It is a dual and earth sign… Expect dualities in making decisions, at times confusion also… and all materialistic goals being earth sign…
The general approach and feeling of the country would be self-protective, defensive, handling disputes, ready to take on any challenges, even enemies, fighting diseases, and using an organized, detail-oriented approach….

6th house has the Mool trikon sign of Saturn Aquarius and transit Saturn is placed there which indicates steady victory over any odds.
7th house has Pisces — Jupiter’s sign and transit Jupiter is in the 8th house of Aries… indicates our foreign relations may go through a major transformation and there will be a new beginning.
9th house Rahu can give stubborn attachment with strong beliefs and opinions.
Bharat has elections this time in May’24 and the 10th house has Mars which indicates a strong drive to win… and fight for protection. Mars is here 8th lord also
From the 10th house, Mars has aspects of Virgo, Sagittarius, and Capricorn…. Expect no peace and ongoing fighting spirit throughout the year…
On the positive side natal Jupiter has an aspect on this Mars. The despositor of Mars is in the 11th house of gains.
11th is the desire fulfillment house so ultimately all the desires of the country can be fulfilled and 5 planets are joining hands to make that happen.
All in all, the entire year, Bharat would have a logical, practical, and systematic approach toward all matters of concern.
The goal would be to win the battle…. Be it physical, financial or any other challenging situation… The desire will get fulfilled as there are 5 planets in the 11th house assuring the same.

Lastly, do check the transit of key planets, as they deliver the results…. like dasha lord, all slow-moving planets, the ascendent lord, and the connection they make with natal planets.
Then, there is one more interesting dimension to this Sudarshan chakra dasa.
From the reference house, we can connect every 12 houses to 12 months in sequence and then read for each month for further information…
Take the same example of the Bharat Independence chart — see month-wise.
We started on 15th Aug’23, so the 1st house will have an impact for that month and the lord is Mercury…. placed in the 11th house…
We had a successful G20 summit in Bharat and gained major foreign investments, business deals, and popularity.
That is in between 15th Aug to 15th Sep.
The 2nd month will be between 15th Sep to 15th Oct — the 2nd house was activated.
Jupiter is placed there, so the finance and economy of the country improved with the gains and benefits of major deals in the G20
But also, some conflicts started with Canada… and Bharat had to take a tough stand on the Israel war…
During this time, we had transit Jupiter- Rahu in the 8th house which took away our peace… There were eclipses also.

Do keep in mind that the Sudarshan Chakra chart cannot give…. something that the birth chart does not promise.
Sudarshan Chakra chart is complementary, supplementary, and confirmatory in nature to our birth chart…as the birth chart holds the ultimate power to give results in our life.
